Can you answer "The Tough Questions?"  #4

As a young man, did you wear your hair processed in the 1940s, ‘50s or ‘60s?

How do you now feel about straightening your hair - and do you consider it an attempt to emulate the hair texture of the white male?

When you watch the videos of soul singers

dancing across the stage in that era, with their

lye-straighten haired and that side part, what

crosses your mind?

When did you go “natural” or do you still process your hair?

Can you answer "The Tough Questions?"  #19

Corporations are now free to arbitrate racial discrimination complaints, although most arbitrators in the United States are white.  Do you feel that a member of another ethnic group can make a fair decision in a case regarding racial discrimination?

Can you answer "The Tough Questions?"  #29

Brown, cocoa, sepia, yellow, red, tan?   How do you describe yourself in the Black rainbow?

Is the skin-color rating system among Black people real or imaginary?

If you believe that a skin-color rating system does exist within the Black race, how do you rate yourself?   How do you rate others?

Can you answer "The Tough Questions?"  #51

Do we as Black people have an American agenda?  Is there a place for us on the American landscape?

Where are we, as a people, on the international landscape?  Do we even have a voice or a place?
